Continuing Adult Education Program
Our instructional staff have over 100 years of combined nursing and educational experience.
Our quest is for excellence in student centered education. We prepare students to enter the job market successfully by providing courses on resume writing and interviewing.
Certified Nursing Assistant Course (CNA)
The class offers a State accredited and licensed Nursing Assistant course. Nursing Assistant courses are offered throughout the year at our Continuing Adult Education Program. The course is a total of 156 hours with facility based clinical training.

- Measuring Vital Signs
- Positioning and Transferring
- Personal Care
- Protecting Patients Rights
- Chronic Illnesses
- Care of Patients with Cognitive Impairment
- End of Life Care
Student Application
Personal Care Aide Course (PCA)
Approved by the Department of Medical Assistance Services. This course is a total of 40 hours and includes home-based training. The course teaches the student how to care for a patient in their home setting and includes such skills as:
Measuring and Recording Vital Signs- Promoting Independence, Self-Care and use of Assistive Devices
- Assistance with ambulation and range of motion
- Infection Control
- Providing Personal Care
- Prevention of Pressure Sores
- Pallative Care
